Welcome to Black Bayou Boarding Downtown — Lake Charles’ newest cage-free dog boarding and play destination. We created a place where dogs can feel at home, stay social, and be supervised around the clock. Our signature Doggie Sleepover offers kennel-free overnight stays with 24/7 attendants, daytime group play, and cozy bedtime snuggles in a real bedroom setting. Every pup is evaluated before their first stay to ensure a safe, friendly pack environment. Whether you need overnight boarding, daytime play, or a comfortable retreat for your best friend, we’re committed to giving dogs a fun, structured, and stress-free experience.
Located in the heart of downtown, we also offer a weekend Dog Park where dogs can play, explore, and socialize while owners relax nearby. Members enjoy free park access, and day passes are available for visitors. With future additions like a curated retail space launching after the New Year, Black Bayou Boarding Downtown is growing into a full dog-friendly community hub. We’re excited to welcome your pup and provide a place they’ll love just as much as home.

My team and I are dedicated to providing the highest quality, healthiest and most fun-loving care for pets and the parents who love them. We also offer comfort and relief to you by posting pics and videos of your fur baby on our private facebook throughout their whole stay!
I personally know the feeling of being away from my paw-children and love when I receive check-in pics of them enjoying themselves. I am happy to answer any questions you may have, just give me a call or text for the quickest response!

NEW BOARDER?
Please understand, we do not accept new boarders without time to complete a trial daycare day to assess temperament and behavior. Daycare is Monday-Friday only.
Our guest and their owners can relax knowing the facility is by RESERVATION ONLY and that all dogs here have passed a behavior assessment. Severe separation anxiety, escape artists, or any aggressive behavior is not accepted. We limit the amount of disturbances and distractions that can take away from the serenity found here on Black Bayou.
